 The High Desert Astronomical Society is based at the Luz Observatory in the Lewis Center for Educational Research - Apple Valley, CA. We were formed to provide trained, volunteer astronomers to operate and maintain the Center's equipment. Our second goal is to foster and support the members' and public's general interest in the science of astronomy.
